The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to activate wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders from the Physically Unable to Perform list and he will miss the next three weeks with a shoulder injury.

Sanders will miss Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Sanders has played in 11 games this season, with five receptions for 57 yards and two touchdowns.

Sanders was not in uniform Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

He suffered the injury in the first quarter and did not return.

The Steelers have not had a player with a PUP designation on the active roster since cornerback Antonio Cromartie in 2009.
