A few days after Kevin Garners trade to the Lakers, Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnets agent told us the following: “It has been a pleasure to work with Kevin.

I am so excited about what we have accomplished together.

I have worked closely with him since he was drafted.

I know his game and he knows mine.

We have a great relationship.

It has been fun and I am looking forward to returning to Boston.”

The Celtics have been without a point guard since trading Paul Pierce, but they have also lost guard Justin Holiday, and backup point guard Avery Bradley is out for the season after surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.

The team also will have to deal with an injury to point guard Devin Booker, who had surgery on his right knee earlier this month.

The Celtics had been hoping to have Garnett back for this season, but the move came with a heavy price tag of around $24 million.
