The NBA is the largest sports league in the world, with teams across the country playing more than 2 million games a season.
And yet, the league has seen its share of controversy over the years.
In recent years, several players have been accused of domestic violence.
The league has been accused, in part, of failing to enforce its domestic violence policy and failing to punish players who hit women or girls.
In an effort to understand why this has happened and what it means for the league, I spoke with three sports law experts about the league’s history and how it might be changing in the future.
I also talked to former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, who is now the dean of the University of Michigan Law School.
I talked to the NFL Players Association, which represents about 3 million NFL players.
And I asked a few experts about what the NBA could do to make it safer for players.
I was lucky enough to be able to spend time with two of these experts at the beginning of my research into domestic violence: George Tomsula, a professor at the University at Buffalo Law School and a former NFL commissioner; and William Tompkins, a partner at Jones Day.
So, I have a good relationship with them.
They’re not lawyers, but they know the game.
They’ve worked for the NBA.
And they’ve done it before.
So I wanted to know more about their perspective on the NBA’s domestic violence policies.
So we talked on the phone, and they were helpful.
I’ve been around the sport for 30 years.
I’ve been in a couple of leagues.
And there’s a lot of history to this.
In 1980, I played in the NBA, which was the first professional sports league to require the reporting of domestic abuse incidents, and it was really a watershed.
The NBA, the National Basketball Association and the American Football League followed suit in 1981, and the league became the first major professional sports organization to have an outside authority to investigate and report these incidents.
This is a very important development because domestic violence is so difficult to solve.
But for a long time, we’ve had these sports leagues that were more like sports councils than leagues, which were essentially a police department, and a prosecutor, and an investigator.
They would do this to help make sure that players were being held accountable.
I’m not sure why we’ve been so lax with this.
It’s probably a lot more complicated than it needs to be, but it’s certainly something that needs to change.
I’m sure you have some examples of how the NBA has handled domestic violence complaints, but in the 1980s, what happened was a very public, aggressive, aggressive response.
That was not the NBA you’re talking about now.
It was a different time, and there was an element of fear in it.
There were a lot fewer of these reports that you would see today.
But it’s still a significant amount of incidents.
I think the NBA needs to look at its policies more, and I think it’s important that they do.
Tomsula: It’s one thing to look back at the early years of the league.
The idea that players could be arrested and prosecuted for the violence they were accused of committing against their girlfriends and girlfriends, was not an issue then.
The players were the only ones who had any legal authority to report these cases.
And so, when they filed these reports, they would be filed anonymously.
And once the league received these reports and they began to look into them, it was difficult for the NFL to get the reports filed.
They could not be made public.
So they would report these, but the league had to keep them quiet.
That’s why we were shocked when, in the early 1990s, they started to start to make public reports.
I don’t think that the NBA would have done that in the first place, but we should have known that it was going to happen in the second half of the decade, when the NBA started to take a more active role in domestic violence enforcement.
Tompkins: The league would be a much better place if it was doing a better job of getting these reports out, because it’s not going to do a lot to protect the players.
That would be like saying you should let people in the hospital.
The way to protect a person is to put them in the ambulance.
I know that’s not the way we want to have a country, but you’re going to have to have the right policies to protect people, especially in the late 1980s and early 1990ies.
Tramples: I agree with George that the league is not doing enough.
I agree that they need to look out for their players, and if the players are victims, they need help.
But that’s something the NFL has been very good at doing.
